pop music is for the people
I listen to a lot of genres. My whole life I’ve gravitated towards indie and counter cultural folk (is there a type of folk that isn’t counter cultural? I don’t know).
At times I’ve been afraid to share that I also love pop. This weirdly seems to be the case for many people. Pop is too trite. It’s too mainstream. It’s too popular.
But pop is literally music for the people. There’s no shame in liking music made for everyone. It’s for everyone, and you’re a member of that group!
Anyway, I’ll be listening to some pop music.
